I had a snow day today, so I decided to do some catch up on my video watching. I saw Torchwood's Dead Man Walking and both The Turk and Heavy Metal from the Sarah Connor Chronicles. Spoilers for the episode after the jump, although I don't actually summarize the episode.
Torchwood: Dead Man Walking
First of all, Owen was brilliant in this, but there was so little Ianto, it was sad. Seeing Martha again was also excellent, and it will be sad to see her go :(
Also it saddens me to say that this ep didn't really do much for me. I liked the creepy girl at the beginning, I hate that they brought back the glove. I liked Jack pretending he only brought Owen back for codes and the sweet talk they had in the jail cell, I hated that weird weird weird throw up scene. I did like bit where Owen gave the kid hope, but I didn't like how Death crawled in there, like a Weevil. I wanted Death to be more majestic and stride in there like he owned the place. I also didn't like how, Death just vanished because it didn't get a thirteenth victim. I mean, they could've just waited it out, or what? What happened?
And more major questions! Why did the glove go after Martha? Why did it come to life at all? Did all that happen in one night, specifically the night of Owen's death? If Martha came back to normal, why didn't the other twelve people? I am confused, as always.
Though, I loved the Martha and Ianto scene, where she came back and he jumped, haha. That was priceless. Poor Ianto.
Next week's looks better.
The Sarah Connor Chronicles: The Turk
I never really have much to say about tSCC, but the one thing I liked about this ep was that Sarah didn't kill Adam, just torched his house. I can't wait to see how that effects their lives (because I know it will) and if she'll actually have to kill him later. I was vaguely disappointed she didn't kill him when they were on their second date; it was obviously a secluded area and a prime opportunity.
I'm not sure how I feel about John always wanting to be the hero and not understanding that he has to keep his head down or else. Though, I do understand the feeling of "I could've done something."
And lastly, that skin and eye thing was creepy as hell.
The Sarah Connor Chronicles: Heavy Metal
Wow, I really liked this episode. I don't know how else to put it: it was action-packed and badass, and that's all I ask this show to be.
I liked the part where Sarah was interrogating that man, and it looked like she was just going to let him go. "You're free to go, if you can get through her." Haha, just brilliant. And of course, when it goes to that next scene, and he doesn't have any bruises on him, you have to wonder: Just what did she do to him that has him so freaked out?
I enjoyed the end, where they sent the truck over the edge, and I liked that John is still emotional after the death of the girl at his school. I mean, sucks for him, but it's good that emotion still show in him. And the best line was when Sarah said to John: "If you want to be a hero, you gotta learn how to drive stick." It sounds vaguely familiar, too.
What This Blog Is
So I intentionally started this blog in order to (maybe) move here if my friends on Livejournal decided to leave. Thankfully, no one I knew left, so then I didn't know what to do with this.
A couple of months later, I made a journal at GreatestJournal to store useless lists like "Who's my favourite character?" and "What are my favourite pairings?" Then GJ died in 2008, so I moved it to InsaneJournal.
Then, I remembered I had this blog, and so I decided to start using it like my IJ, except with more indepth thoughts and explanations. The side bar holds many random things, such as the RSS feed to my Google Reader and my precious list of males I frequently fangirl over.

Reading this page will probably help you understand me better; it's like a disclaimer. Honestly, that is me in a nutshell.
