What This Blog Is

So I intentionally started this blog in order to (maybe) move here if my friends on Livejournal decided to leave. Thankfully, no one I knew left, so then I didn't know what to do with this.

A couple of months later, I made a journal at GreatestJournal to store useless lists like "Who's my favourite character?" and "What are my favourite pairings?" Then GJ died in 2008, so I moved it to InsaneJournal.

Then, I remembered I had this blog, and so I decided to start using it like my IJ, except with more indepth thoughts and explanations. The side bar holds many random things, such as the RSS feed to my Google Reader and my precious list of males I frequently fangirl over.

Reading this page will probably help you understand me better; it's like a disclaimer. Honestly, that is me in a nutshell.

Season review: Dexter Season 3

Last night was the season finale of Dexter! So, I felt like I needed a review, especially since I just posted one on my LJ.

Dexter: Overall
Unlike most other TV series, Dexter is my quiet one, the one that I feel like I can keep to myself, like my very own secret pet. It's the one I don't talk about, the one where I have no friends in the fandom, the one where no one in my real life is really a fan. I know I have a lot of fandoms it seems no one else is into (The Mighty Boosh, Psych, and Life come to mind), but this one definitely feels more secretive than most.

And unlike most other TV series, Dexter has an ongoing story line throughout the season that reels you in and catches you and won't let you go. Usually, I try not to get into these series, because once they reel you in, they never let you go. But once each season ends with Dexter, it ends. You're perfectly fine if you end the series right there. No cliff hangers. No "what if?" It's nice.

Plus, it's masterfully written. It's like, they already have the entire series planned out already, all they have to do is get the actors acting. They have little details from the first season put into it that lead us to the current season. I don't know if all three series follows the book, but wow, if it does, I want to read those books.

This season hasn't let me down. Oh, WOW, has it not let me down. A+ I say! A+!

Dexter: Season 3 (Spoilers for this season and the season finale last night after the jump.)

Wow. If you asked me, in the beginning of the season, whether I would hate Miguel Prado, or like Ramon Prado, or even see Dexter married, I would've said, no, my friend, no.

But this season was full of twists and turns and all the things I love about Dexter, from his kills, to his attempts at being "normal," to seeing him interact with Rita, the kids, and his sister. I love that he got married and is having a child with Rita. I love that he got some kills in before the intricacy of the season wore him down. I love Debra and Anton. (Really, really, really, love Deb and Anton.) I love that Deb got her shield. I love that Batista and Gianna got together.

This season was so great! And I'm so satisfied, as a fan, now that it's over.
